Sanjay Purohit brings 30 years of global experience in leading strategy, digital platforms, design, management consulting and leadership development.
He is currently Strategic Advisor to EkStep Foundation, eGov Foundation, Avanti Finance, Advaith Foundation and Mantra4Change. Since 2016, he has been developing Societal Platform Thinking, a systemic method to resolve complex societal challenges with speed, at scale, sustainably.
Previously, as Chief Strategy Officer at Infosys, he worked alongside the Infosys Co-Founder and CEO, Nandan Nilekani, to establish a strategic planning and execution framework that successfully scaled a $400 Million IT Services business to $7 Billion in annual revenues in 10 years.
In early 2011, Sanjay articulated 7 key trends triggered by emerging technologies and took these to 100 global enterprises over 12 months to develop strategic responses to embrace the imminent digital disruption. As Founder CEO of EdgeVerve, he launched 6 digital platforms for Digital Marketing, Omni-channel Commerce, Customer Service, Distribution, Procurement and Credit Finance and carved out a viable software product startup with innovative practices in product R&D and talent development. Later, as Chairman and Managing Partner of Management Consulting at Infosys, Sanjay led the $635 Million pa business serving 450+ clients straddling 20 countries across US, Europe, LATAM, Asia Pacific and India. Under his leadership, in partnership with the Stanford d.school, Infosys Consulting and its clients embraced Design Thinking. He personally mentored more than 50 strategy and design engagements with global corporations.
Sanjay pioneered the Leaders Teach program at the Infosys Leadership Institute, and influenced the development of 400+ leaders in strategy, competitiveness, scalability and resilience. He’s a regular guest faculty at global management schools and has been engaged with global strategy for the World Economic Forum in developing global scenarios for 2025.
He mentors a number of startups and is Innovation Advisor to Unleash, a global innovation lab for Sustainable Development Goals.
