Olivia Fox Cabane is the cofounder of KindEarth.Tech ( KET ) and the former Director of Innovative Leadership for Stanford's StartX startup accelerator. She has taught leadership, innovation, genius, and charisma at Harvard, Yale, MIT and the United Nations.
Olivia became known in the food industry for her industry landscapes mapping out food technology’s most innovative companies in alternative protein and alternative dairy, both plant-based and cell-based, and the intersection with climate, environmental sustainability, and impact investing.
She founded the Alternative Protein & Dairy Show in 2019, with events in San Francisco and Amsterdam, followed by the Round-The-World Virtual 2020 . The next event is scheduled for August 2021 in Singapore. She also organized the GlobalAlternative Dairy Awards for SXSW 2020, rescheduled for 2021 due to COVID19.
Her position as advisor to numerous foodtech startups, as well as to organizations such as Food Visionaries and the Cellular Agriculture Society gives her unique insight into the future of food. She is often quoted by trade publications, public education sites, advocacy organizations and the mainstream media around the world.
Previously a columnist for Forbes and The Huffington Post, Olivia is also a best-selling author of books which have been translated into over 30 languages, and a sought after keynote speaker for Fortune 500 companies. She is currently writing “The Genius Myth: How Anyone Can Learn To Access Their Inner Einstein.”
She is a dual citizen of the US and France and aside from her native French and English, also speaks fluent Spanish and German. Oliva holds three masters’ degrees, and is the youngest person ever appointed Foreign Trade Advisor to France since the office was created in 1898.
She lives with her husband on a mini urban farm in Silicon Valley with one dog, two cats, ten chickens and several thousand bees.
